The Unitree B2 Industrial-Grade Quadruped Robot Dog, developed by Unitree Robotics, is an industrial-grade quadruped robot engineered for all-terrain autonomy and heavy-payload field operations. The B2-US configuration is the North American market variant of the B2 platform, sharing the full performance specification of the core model. Capable of traversing stairs, rubble fields, slippery surfaces, and steep inclines, it extends autonomous legged mobility into environments where wheeled platforms cannot operate reliably. Power infrastructure inspection, emergency rescue, and large-scale industrial site monitoring are the primary operational contexts for this field robotics platform.
Perception on the B2 is handled by a dual depth camera and dual optical camera array, giving the platform onboard spatial awareness for obstacle detection and avoidance during teleoperated missions. Direct operator control via the included remote controller is the primary operating mode, with the SDK enabling custom software integrations for teams building their own autonomy layers. A sensor-guided autonomous charging solution extends continuous deployment endurance by enabling unattended docking between runs (charging dock sold separately). The platform exposes a structured developer interface through an official SDK documentation hub, with compatibility across widely used robotics middleware. Research institutions, industrial inspection teams, and emergency response organizations are the core user base for this legged robot platform.

Capabilities
Obstacle Detection & Avoidance
The B2 uses onboard depth cameras to detect obstacles and assess terrain in real time. The operator directs the mission via the remote controller while the robot handles collision avoidance and surface stability detection automatically.
SDK & ROS Integration
A dedicated B2 developer documentation hub provides structured SDK access for building custom autonomy stacks and mission logic. The platform is compatible with widely used robotics middleware for seamless ecosystem integration.
OTA Software Updates
The B2 supports continuous over-the-air firmware and software upgrades, ensuring capabilities evolve without manual intervention. This keeps the platform current throughout its operational lifespan without requiring physical access.
Payload & Accessory Mounting
With a sustained load capacity exceeding 40 kg, the B2 accommodates a wide range of sensor payloads and mission-specific accessories. This makes it adaptable to diverse inspection, monitoring, and data-collection configurations.
Use Cases & Application Scenarios
Power Infrastructure Inspection
The B2 navigates substations and power generation facilities where manual inspection is hazardous. Its all-terrain mobility and onboard obstacle avoidance allow it to conduct thorough surveys in environments that present serious safety risks to personnel.
Emergency & Rescue Operations
In emergency response scenarios, the B2 traverses rubble fields, steep inclines, and unstable surfaces where wheeled platforms cannot operate. Its legged mobility and robust payload capacity make it suitable for carrying sensing or communication equipment into affected areas.
Industrial Site Inspection
Manufacturing plants and logistics facilities benefit from the B2's ability to conduct regular patrols and condition assessments autonomously. The robot's extended endurance and sensor-guided navigation enable it to cover large areas with minimal operator involvement.
Security & Perimeter Patrol
The B2's all-terrain mobility and IP67-rated construction make it well-suited for outdoor security patrol tasks. It traverses uneven grounds, stairwells, and mixed-surface areas while carrying camera or sensor payloads for scheduled or on-demand perimeter monitoring at industrial sites and secure facilities.
If you are not satisfied with a product purchased from the Site, you may request a return within 30 days from the delivery date, unless the product is listed under the Return Exceptions below or is subject to specific return conditions noted on the product page.
This return policy also applies, as a minimum standard, to products sold and fulfilled by third-party vendors through the Marketplace.
Returns under this policy concern non-defective products. In the case of a confirmed manufacturing defect, remedies are handled under the Warranty terms, at the Vendor's discretion. See the Warranty section.
Return Conditions
To qualify for a refund under the 30-day return policy, all of the following conditions must be met:
A valid Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained prior to returning the product. Returns without an RA number will be refused.
The RA number is valid for 30 days. The returned item must be received within that period.
The RA number must be included with the return.
Products must be returned in unused, unmodified condition (e.g., no scratches, alterations, missing parts, or signs of installation/use) and in their original packaging, suitable for resale.
Shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of a product confirmed defective through RobotShop's troubleshooting process or of a verified shipping error by RobotShop.
Refunds are processed within 7 days after receipt and inspection of the returned item.
A $100 cleaning fee may apply to domestic robots returned in used or unclean condition.
A 20% restocking fee may apply to large-quantity returns of items ordered specifically for the customer from the manufacturer or not part of RobotShop's standard inventory.
Return Exceptions
The following products are not eligible for return or refund under this policy:
Used, damaged, or modified products — Items that show signs of use, wear, or alteration, making them unsuitable for resale.
Consumables — Use and wear-and-tear components, altered or depleted through use (e.g., batteries, belts, brushes, gears, filament, tires, disposable bags, lubricants, greases, waxes, etc.). Not eligible for return once opened or used.
Perishables — Goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Not eligible for return.
Sealed goods (health or hygiene) — Items sealed for health-protection or hygiene reasons (e.g., masks, gloves, odor-absorbing products). Not eligible for return once unsealed.
Build-it-yourself products and items requiring customer assembly — Including robots & kits, robot parts, and other products requiring assembly or soldering. Not eligible for return once assembled, soldered, or installed.
