The Yahboom Mecanum Wheel Kit for DIY Robot Car - 65mm Hexagonal Coupling, Black-Green (4x) EN Manual is designed for all types of smart robot cars. It features a compact structure, flexible movement, and durability. Unlike common wheels, the Mecanum wheel allows your car to achieve 360-degree movement, enabling faster travel in various environmental terrains.
The wheel comes with a default cross-axis mounting port, which can be easily connected to building block servos and motors. This makes it convenient to build an omni-directional mobile smart building block car. Additionally, the kit includes four mounting adapters for connection to TT motors.
To assist you in using the Mecanum wheel effectively, tutorials are provided as a reference. These tutorials cover a range of mobile control methods, including left and right translation, large-angle drift, oblique 45-degree movement, and square track movement.
I had expected that the brass hubs supplied with these wheels would enable me to fit them to common motors such as the excellent E-S series with a 4 mm 'D' shaft. No such luck. The hubs have 6mm diameter round hole for the motor shaft. They 'wobble' using the large 3mm screws provided. (grub screws would be much better) It is possible to 'stuff' the holes with a brass eyelet and shrink tubing- but this is a sloppy fix. Very disappointed.
