The Waveshare Uninterruptible Power Supply UPS HAT for Raspberry Pi, Stable 5V Power Output is designed to provide seamless power management for Raspberry Pi devices. It allows for continuous power supply from either an external source or backup batteries, ensuring uninterrupted operation. The device supports simultaneous charging and power output, making it highly efficient for various applications.

This UPS HAT features a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header, facilitating compatibility with Raspberry Pi series boards. It employs I2C bus communication to monitor battery voltage, current, power, and remaining capacity in real-time. The onboard 5V regulator delivers up to 2.5A continuous output current, and a 5V USB output is available for powering additional boards.

Safety is a priority, with multiple battery protection circuits including overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuit, and reverse protection. An equalizing charge feature further enhances safety and stability. Battery warning indicators provide a straightforward method to verify correct battery connection.
