The Waveshare SX1302 868m LoRaWAN Gateway Module for Raspberry Pi, Standard Mini-PCIe Socket is a sophisticated communication device designed to enhance long-range transmission capabilities. It integrates the advanced SX1302/3 normal band chip, which is renowned for its high receiving sensitivity and ability to support concurrent communication. This module is engineered to operate with low power consumption, allowing for a simplified heat dissipation design and reduced material costs, resulting in a compact form factor.
This gateway module features an onboard PA and LNA, providing substantial emit power and high sensitivity receiving gain. It is equipped with a 52-pin Mini-PCIe socket, facilitating seamless integration into various embedded systems. The module also includes four LED indicators to display operating status, enhancing user interaction and monitoring.
The module supports the Raspberry Pi series through a standard 40PIN GPIO extension header. It incorporates the L76K module with GPS/BD support, delivering precise clock and location information essential for the gateway's operation. The SX1303 chip within the module supports fine timestamping and network positioning based on the time difference of arrival, although this feature is not available in the SX1302 chip.
