The Waveshare RGB Full-Color Digital Clock for Raspberry Pi Pico, 64×32 Grid, Accurate RTC is an advanced digital clock designed for integration with the Raspberry Pi Pico. It features a high-precision RTC chip, DS3231, ensuring accurate timekeeping even when the main power is off, thanks to its backup battery holder. The clock displays time, date, and day of the week, with leap-year compensation valid up to 2100, and offers both 24-hour and 12-hour formats with an AM/PM indicator.
This device incorporates a P3 fine-pitch RGB LED matrix panel with 2048 individual RGB LEDs, allowing for the display of text, colorful images, or animations. It includes a digital temperature sensor with an accuracy of ±3°C and an embedded photosensor for automatic brightness adjustment based on ambient light, promoting power saving and eye comfort. The clock also features a buzzer for alarms or hourly chimes and an IR receiver for wireless control via an included remote controller.
The clock supports programming in C++ and MicroPython, with extensive development resources and tutorials available. It is equipped with five buttons for configuration, reset, and code programming, and its chainable design allows multiple LED matrix panels to be connected for larger displays. The device is housed in a quality acrylic back panel and dimmer panel, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and display comfort.
