It employs a CY7C68013A+FPGA hardware solution, ensuring compatibility with the original Xilinx Platform Cable USB and Platform Cable USB II. This device is capable of programming a wide range of Xilinx devices, including FPGAs, CPLDs, and ISP Configuration PROMs, through JTAG, Slave-Serial, and SPI interfaces.

The programmer supports devices operating at various voltage levels, including 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8V, and 1.5V, and offers an optional target clock frequency with automatic adjustment via Xilinx software. It features firmware auto-upgrade capabilities, allowing it to support newly released software and devices. The device is equipped with anti-static and multi-layer signal isolation to safeguard both the target and the programmer.
