The Waveshare MAX-M8Q GNSS HAT for Raspberry Pi, Multi-Constellation Receiver Support, GPS, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS is a sophisticated GNSS module designed to enhance the positioning capabilities of Raspberry Pi systems. This HAT supports concurrent reception from up to three different GNSS satellite systems, including GPS, Beidou, Galileo, and GLONASS, while maintaining low power consumption. It also integrates augment systems such as SBAS, QZSS, IMES, and D-GPS to improve positioning performance.
The module is equipped with advanced features like Assisted GNSS (A-GNSS) to reduce the initial positioning time and enhance acquisition sensitivity. It boasts a navigating sensitivity of -167dBm and provides robust anti-spoofing and anti-jamming capabilities, making it suitable for applications requiring high security and precision. The HAT supports geo-fencing and can be configured easily using the U-Center software.
Designed for seamless integration, it includes a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header and supports various Raspberry Pi series boards and Jetson Nano. The onboard USB to UART converter facilitates serial debugging, and the module's UART and I2C interfaces allow connection with other host boards like Arduino and STM32.
