The Waveshare Industrial USB to RS232/485 Converter, FT232RNL is designed to facilitate fast and stable communication between devices. It features an onboard original FT232RNL chip, which ensures better compatibility and reliable performance. The device boasts integrated power supply isolation, providing a stable isolated voltage without the need for an additional power source for the isolated terminal. Additionally, it includes digital isolation to enhance signal integrity, high reliability, and robust anti-interference capabilities while maintaining low power consumption.

This converter is equipped with a Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) to effectively manage surge voltage and transient spike voltage, offering lightning and electrostatic discharge protection. It also incorporates self-recovery fuse and protection diodes to maintain stable current and voltage outputs, further enhancing its over-current and over-voltage protection and improving its shockproof performance. The RS485 interface includes a 120R terminal resistor, which can be enabled or disabled via a jumper.

The compact industrial rail-mount ABS case design allows for easy installation and is suitable for various environments. The converter is compatible with multiple operating systems, including Mac, Linux, Android, and various versions of Windows, ensuring broad application across different platforms.
