The Waveshare 2-Channel Isolated RS232 Expansion HAT for Raspberry Pi is designed to enhance Raspberry Pi boards with dual RS232 communication channels. It utilizes the SC16IS752 and SP3232 chips to convert SPI to RS232, achieving data rates up to 921600bps.
This expansion HAT features built-in power supply and digital isolation, ensuring high reliability and strong anti-interference capabilities. It includes onboard protection circuits such as a TVS diode for surge and spike voltage suppression, making it lightningproof and anti-electrostatic.
The device is equipped with LEDs to indicate power and transceiver status, and it supports connection with host control boards like Arduino.
