Binocular depth camera module, 4-microphone spatial audio array, onboard speaker
~29 kg total weight with battery
2 kg per-arm payload, quick-release smart battery
Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless with intelligent OTA upgrade support
The Unitree R1 Humanoid Robot, developed by Unitree Robotics, is a full-size bipedal humanoid platform designed for research, demonstration, and applied robotics development. Standing at 1,210 mm and distributed across a full kinematic chain, it brings together twenty-four actuated degrees of freedom covering the legs, arms, waist, and head. As the entry-level configuration in the R1 lineup, the R1-Basic-US variant ships with dummy hands and no high-power GPU compute module, establishing a capable mechanical and locomotion baseline at a reduced weight and cost. The robot is built for indoor laboratory environments, university research programs, and commercial pilot deployments requiring reliable bipedal mobility.
Onboard sensing combines binocular stereo vision with a four-microphone spatial audio array and a speaker, allowing the robot to perceive depth, localize sound sources, and communicate audibly in shared human-robot spaces. Connectivity via Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 keeps the system integrated into networked infrastructure, while intelligent over-the-air upgrades allow firmware and software to be maintained without physical access. Runtime is sustained by a lithium smart battery with a quick-release mechanism, enabling rapid swaps during extended sessions. This configuration is aimed at organizations and developers who require a mechanically complete humanoid for locomotion research and physical interaction studies, with the understanding that advanced GPU compute and dexterous hands can be added in higher-tier variants.

Use Cases & Application Scenarios
Real-world deployment contexts for the Unitree R1 Humanoid Robot across research and applied robotics.
Autonomous Facility Patrol
Its binocular depth camera module continuously scans the environment, making it effective for security rounds, anomaly detection, and access monitoring across warehouses, campuses, and commercial buildings.
Industrial Site Monitoring
Equipped with a binocular camera and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, the R1 can navigate industrial environments to monitor equipment, check gauges, and relay live visual data to a control center. Its 2 kg per-arm carry capacity allows it to transport inspection tools or light supplies between stations.
Reception and Customer Interaction
The R1's built-in 4-mic array, speaker, and multimodal voice and vision AI allow it to greet visitors, answer common questions, and guide people through a space. It is immediately deployable as a lobby greeter, retail floor assistant, or exhibition presence without any custom programming.
Education and Live Demonstrations
Standing 123 cm tall with 26 degrees of freedom, the R1 makes a compelling subject for classroom robotics education and live demonstrations at trade shows or corporate events. Natural bipedal movement and voice interaction bring humanoid robotics to life for any audience.

If you are not satisfied with a product purchased from the Site, you may request a return within 30 days from the delivery date, unless the product is listed under the Return Exceptions below or is subject to specific return conditions noted on the product page.
This return policy also applies, as a minimum standard, to products sold and fulfilled by third-party vendors through the Marketplace.
Returns under this policy concern non-defective products. In the case of a confirmed manufacturing defect, remedies are handled under the Warranty terms, at the Vendor's discretion. See the Warranty section.
Return Conditions
To qualify for a refund under the 30-day return policy, all of the following conditions must be met:
A valid Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained prior to returning the product. Returns without an RA number will be refused.
The RA number is valid for 30 days. The returned item must be received within that period.
The RA number must be included with the return.
Products must be returned in unused, unmodified condition (e.g., no scratches, alterations, missing parts, or signs of installation/use) and in their original packaging, suitable for resale.
Shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of a product confirmed defective through RobotShop's troubleshooting process or of a verified shipping error by RobotShop.
Refunds are processed within 7 days after receipt and inspection of the returned item.
A $100 cleaning fee may apply to domestic robots returned in used or unclean condition.
A 20% restocking fee may apply to large-quantity returns of items ordered specifically for the customer from the manufacturer or not part of RobotShop's standard inventory.
Return Exceptions
The following products are not eligible for return or refund under this policy:
Used, damaged, or modified products — Items that show signs of use, wear, or alteration, making them unsuitable for resale.
Consumables — Use and wear-and-tear components, altered or depleted through use (e.g., batteries, belts, brushes, gears, filament, tires, disposable bags, lubricants, greases, waxes, etc.). Not eligible for return once opened or used.
Perishables — Goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Not eligible for return.
Sealed goods (health or hygiene) — Items sealed for health-protection or hygiene reasons (e.g., masks, gloves, odor-absorbing products). Not eligible for return once unsealed.
Build-it-yourself products and items requiring customer assembly — Including robots & kits, robot parts, and other products requiring assembly or soldering. Not eligible for return once assembled, soldered, or installed.
Digital Goods, Software, and Apps — Final sale only, due to licensing restrictions.
