Rather than a single fixed build, the R1-D is offered as a family of four configurations, so buyers can choose between shorter or longer-reach arms and between a stationary or mobile base. The R1-D perceives its surroundings through onboard vision and audio sensing, allowing it to recognize objects, track activity, and respond to what is happening around it. Capabilities

The R1-D pairs capable dual-arm hardware with an open, developer-friendly software stack, delivering onboard intelligence, flexible builds, natural human interaction, and full secondary development.

Onboard AI & Compute

Every configuration runs an 8-core CPU in both the body and head, with a 10 TOPS AI accelerator in the head module. An optional high-computing module scales onboard inference up to 100 TOPS for demanding vision and learning workloads.

Four-Configuration Family

The R1-D is offered in four builds that pair a 5-DoF or 7-DoF arm with either a fixed or a mobile base. This lets you match reach, degrees of freedom, and mobility to the job instead of committing to one fixed layout.
