In addition to role play, this trailer is great for incorporating retrieval exercises into your lessons. You can have the children decorate Bee-Bot as a postman and program it to deliver and pick up letters and parcels from different locations.
To incorporate retrieval exercises, you can lay out a number of objects in a line, approximately the length of the Bee-Bot apart. Challenge the children to send Bee-Bot up the line to collect the different objects. To make it more challenging, you can have the children start without the trailer and then program Bee-Bot to collect and attach it first.
Please note that due to the Bee-Bot's turning circle, the trailer limits Bee-Bot to 90-degree turns at a time. Therefore, in order for Bee-Bot to complete a U-turn, it must take a forward movement after every turn. This can be a discussion point with the children. However, the Bee-Bot is still able to tow objects with ease.
