The TouchBerry 10.1-inch Pi Panel PC w/ Raspberry Pi 4B (4GB) features a capacitive touch interface with an RTD2662 controller chip, offering a bright display of 900 nits and a resolution of 1280 x 800 in a 16:9 format. It supports standard communication protocols including RS232, RS485, and Ethernet with MODBUS compatibility. The device operates effectively within a temperature range of 0º to 40ºC and can handle humidity levels between 10% and 90%.
Powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 CPU running at 1.5 GHz and a Broadcom VideoCore VI GPU that supports OpenGL ES 3.0, MPEG-2, and VC-1 with a license, this Panel PC is capable of decoding 1080p30 H.265 and 4kp60, as well as encoding and decoding H264 at 1080p60 and 1080p30 respectively. It includes a variety of USB ports, with two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 connections.
For storage, it utilizes an 8 GB microSD pSLC card of industrial grade and offers a Class 10 MMC/SDIO slot. Networking capabilities are robust, featuring Gigabit Ethernet and TTL Serial, as well as dual-band wireless LAN operating at 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz, IEEE 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, and BLE.
The unit comes with multiple input/output options, including three digital inputs, two analog inputs configurable by jumpers for 0 - 10 Vdc and 4 - 20 mA, and five digital outputs. The GPIO voltage ranges are 5 - 24 Vdc for inputs and 7.5 - 24 Vdc for outputs.
This industrial automation Panel PC is based on the GNU/Linux operating system (Raspbian/Ubuntu) installed on an SD card. It boasts numerous integrated interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, and WiFi, allowing for remote control of all system parameters, data, and I/O via Ethernet or WiFi network. The Touchberry PI has sufficient I/O to replace PLCs in simple automation applications. Open protocols enable communication not only with other Industrial Shields PLCs but also with third-party devices and machinery. In complex systems, a network of multiple TOUCHBERRY PI units can be created, providing a comprehensive monitoring and control solution for entire production plants with real-time data accessibility.
