The SparkFun Timing GNSS Breakout - mosaic-T is an advanced timing solution that integrates Septentrio's mosaic-T, a compact and energy-efficient multi-band, multi-constellation GNSS timing receiver. This device is engineered to deliver exceptional timing precision, achieving 5 nanoseconds accuracy, with the potential for even greater precision through an optional subscription to the Fugro AtomiChron® L-band timing service. The breakout board is equipped with AIM+ technology, which provides interference mitigation and anti-spoofing capabilities, ensuring both reliability and accuracy in its operations.
The board facilitates straightforward access to the mosaic-T's reference clock, making it suitable for creating a disciplined oscillator. It is designed with a USB-C connector, a microSD card slot, and SMA connectors, which support active, multi-band GPS antennas and external 10MHz reference inputs. The device also features status LEDs and operational buttons, allowing for user-friendly operation without the need for programming expertise.
The breakout supports a wide range of GNSS systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, and SBAS, with the capability to track 448 channels simultaneously. It offers a rapid time to fix, with cold starts taking less than 45 seconds and warm starts under 20 seconds. The device's update rate is 10Hz, with a latency of less than 10 milliseconds, ensuring timely and accurate data processing.
