The Sparkfun SparkPNT GNSS Flex Module - LG290P is an advanced plug-in module designed for high-precision navigation and positioning applications. It features a quad-band, multi-constellation RTK GNSS receiver capable of receiving signals from multiple frequency bands, including L1, L2, L5, and L6/E6. This module supports a variety of GNSS constellations such as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS, QZSS, and NavIC, ensuring comprehensive global coverage and enhanced accuracy.
The module is equipped with a built-in NIC anti-jamming unit, which employs sophisticated interference detection and elimination algorithms. This feature significantly enhances signal reception performance, particularly in environments with complex electromagnetic interference, such as urban areas or regions with dense foliage. The SparkPNT GNSS Flex Module is designed to be easily integrated into modular GNSS solutions, requiring a GNSS Flex pHAT, an external antenna, and a compatible single-board computer like a Raspberry Pi.
The LG290P module supports SBAS augmentation systems and is compatible with various PPP services, although some features are still under development. It provides RTCM and RTK corrections, facilitating precision navigation with rapid convergence times and reliable performance. The module's design includes two 2x10-pin, 2mm pitch female headers for connectivity, breaking out UART interfaces and other signals for seamless integration with carrier boards.
Note: The module currently supports only the UART interfaces, and some PPP service corrections may not yet be implemented.
