The SparkFun RTK mosaic-X5 is a sophisticated, high-precision base station designed for advanced geolocation applications. It features a web-based control interface that enables it to function as a comprehensive NTRIP Caster. This device is engineered in Boulder, Colorado, USA, and is built upon the multi-constellation, multi-frequency mosaic-X5 platform from Septentrio. It is capable of receiving GNSS signals from various satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, NavIC, as well as additional satellites such as SBAS and QZSS. The RTK mosaic-X5 can be configured to operate as either an RTK Base or Rover, providing a remarkable horizontal positioning accuracy of 6 millimeters.
The device is equipped with a sophisticated chip that includes a full internal web page server, facilitating easy monitoring and configuration. It supports data logging in multiple formats, including RINEX, NMEA, and SBF. Connectivity is enhanced by the inclusion of an ESP32-WROVER processor, which provides both Ethernet and WiFi capabilities. The unit is housed in a custom extruded aluminum case, offering IP42 ingress protection, ensuring durability and reliability in various environmental conditions.
