The Sparkfun GNSS Flex pHAT - LG290P is a sophisticated development platform designed for integration with Raspberry Pi or similar single-board computers. It features the Quectel LG290P, a high-precision, multi-band RTK GNSS receiver, which is engineered for reliable navigation and positioning. This board requires an external antenna and a compatible single-board computer to function effectively.
The GNSS Flex pHAT serves as a carrier board for the SparkPNT LG290P GNSS Flex Module, interfacing through a 40-pin header. Its modular design, based on two 2x10-pin headers, ensures compatibility across various boards, facilitating easy upgrades and repairs. The module is capable of receiving signals from multiple GNSS constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS, QZSS, and NavIC, across several frequency bands. It also supports SBAS augmentation systems and RTK corrections, providing precision navigation with rapid convergence and dependable performance.
The device incorporates a built-in NIC anti-jamming unit, which employs advanced algorithms to detect and eliminate interference, thereby enhancing signal reception in challenging electromagnetic environments. This feature ensures reliable positioning even in complex scenarios such as urban areas and dense foliage.
Note: The LG290P module currently supports only UART interfaces, and some PPP services may not be fully implemented yet.
