The SLAMTEC Hermes Robot Base is a state-of-the-art robotic platform that boasts a proprietary navigation and localization system developed by SLAMTEC. This system is equipped with a 360° lidar and two depth cameras, which together provide industry-leading mobile technology. The autonomous movement of the SLAMTEC Hermes, coupled with its stable localization and navigation capabilities, can be integrated into any robot to enhance its functionality. This makes it ideal for applications such as intelligent distribution, disinfection, and inspection.
The SLAMTEC Hermes uses SLAMTEC’s proprietary localization and navigation system to offer cutting-edge and highly reliable pathfinding capabilities. It employs lidar navigation and is fitted with multiple depth camera sensors, enabling 360° full-range navigation and obstacle avoidance with no blind spots. This ensures stable and reliable localization and navigation performance.
The superior structural and algorithmic design of the SLAMTEC Hermes allows it to navigate a 16° ramp and function properly, even on thick carpet surfaces. It also has the capacity to avoid obstacles up to 20mm in height, making it adaptable to a variety of indoor scenarios.
The SLAMTEC Hermes uses the Robostudio mapping software to delineate dangerous restricted areas on the map. It also integrates an anti-drop sensor to effectively prevent the robot from falling and ensure safe operation. To further enhance safety in complex and dynamic environments, it incorporates anti-collision sensors to detect and avoid obstacles such as stairs, bar tables, and chairs.
The SLAMTEC Hermes supports local area network (LAN) and cloud platform collaborative operations, allowing for dynamic adjustments of speed and delivery routes based on the environment. This ensures efficient, safe, and reliable multi-point delivery. It is a fully open software and hardware platform that offers external hardware support. Developers can utilize the Slamware SDK 2.0 for business logic application development.
The SLAMTEC Hermes, based on SLAMTEC’s autonomous localization and navigation solution, does not require scenario-based adjustment or QR code navigation. It is a compact device with dimensions of 272mm in height and 465mm in width, and weighs 40kg.
