Features simple locking mechanism
Available in inch and metric
Saves time and minimizes errors
The Sherline Zero Adjustable Handwheel – 2" X Axis (Metric) offers machinists the capability to reset the handwheel to zero or any desired setting during machining operations. This feature, commonly found in full-size machine tools, is now available for Sherline's miniature machine tools. The handwheel is designed for easy installation, replacing standard handwheels by simply releasing a set screw.
Operation is straightforward: release the black locking nut while holding the handwheel, reset the red handwheel collar to zero, and retighten the locking nut. This allows precise control over the feed amount starting from zero, eliminating the need for complex calculations and minimizing errors. The handwheel is a significant time saver, enhancing efficiency in machining tasks.
The 2" adjustable handwheel can replace all standard 1⅝” handwheels, although it is not recommended for simultaneous use on both the lathe leadscrew and tailstock due to potential interference. The handwheel is available in both inch and metric versions, catering to diverse measurement preferences.
Note: Ensure compatibility with existing machine models to avoid operational issues.
