It features a robust steel bed mounted on a raised base, ensuring stability and durability during operations. The bed is equipped with ground dovetails, providing smooth and precise movement. The leadscrew, crafted from precision-rolled steel, is strategically positioned beneath the table to avoid interference from chips, and its backlash is adjustable for enhanced accuracy.

The headstock is constructed from extruded 6061-T6 aluminum with a sleek black anodized finish, offering both strength and aesthetic appeal. It is compatible with an ER-16 spindle, which includes a collet nut for secure tool holding. The spindle is designed for light-duty applications and features a .405-inch through hole, allowing for the passage of long stock. However, it is not intended for high RPM operations with long or out-of-round parts.

Powering the machine is a 90-volt DC motor, renowned for delivering maximum torque at low RPMs, which is crucial for effective machining. This motor operates more quietly and smoothly compared to traditional AC/DC motors.
