The Sherline Milling Collet – 4mm is engineered for use with the Morse #1 internal taper, a standard feature on Sherline lathes and vertical mills. This design allows for a superior clamping force compared to WW collets, making it ideal for securing miniature end mills, center drills, and Dremel® bits. The collet is specifically crafted to hold cutting tools with a shank size precision within .001 inches of the manufactured size. Its shallow taper angle necessitates backing off the drawbolt and tapping it to release the collet.
