About to bite the Sherline bullet?

I was looking for a Canadian retailer/distributor that carried the Sherline lathe and milling machine. Before I purchased it I talked to the knowledgeable team at Sherline directly. Once I felt that I had all my questions answered, I went back to robotshop.com and waited before pulling the trigger. The only issue that I found with buying the lathe was that I realized immediately that I needed a milling machine also. Unfortunately at the moment they do not carry the milling column attachment for the lathe. I bought this specifically from robotshop.com because they have a financing plan. The financing was a bit tough at first, and I was actually the first person that had technical issues with it. Luckily I stuck through it and robotshop.com's support helped me out through every step of the way. This package is awesome for someone getting into home tabletop fabrication, and it has all the tools to get started. Mind you, you will eventually need a 4 jaw chuck, a milling column, a mill vice, and other accessories. I bit the bullet and I'm proud I did. Get ready to spend a few more dollars in this endeavour and don't get discouraged. Happy tooling!

Je cherchais un détaillant / distributeur canadien qui transportait le tour et la fraiseuse Sherline. Avant de l'acheter, j'ai parlé directement à l'équipe compétente de Sherline. Une fois que j'ai senti que j'avais répondu à toutes mes questions, je suis retourné sur robotshop.com et j'ai attendu avant d'appuyer sur la gâchette. Le seul problème que j'ai trouvé avec l'achat du tour, c'est que j'ai réalisé immédiatement que j'avais aussi besoin d'une fraiseuse. Malheureusement pour le moment, ils ne portent pas la fixation de la colonne de fraisage pour le tour. Je l'ai acheté spécifiquement sur robotshop.com car ils ont un plan de financement. Le financement était un peu difficile au début, et j'étais en fait la première personne à avoir eu des problèmes techniques. Heureusement, je l'ai respecté et le support de robotshop.com m'a aidé à chaque étape du processus. Ce package est génial pour quelqu'un qui se lance dans la fabrication de table à domicile, et il a tous les outils pour commencer. Attention, vous aurez éventuellement besoin d'un mandrin à 4 mors, d'une colonne de fraisage, d'un étau de fraisage et d'autres accessoires. J'ai mordu la balle et je suis fier de l'avoir fait. Préparez-vous à dépenser quelques dollars de plus dans cette entreprise et ne vous découragez pas. Bon outillage!
