Equipped with adjustable preload anti-backlash screws
Features a 90V DC motor with speed control
Compact design for small-scale production
The Sherline Manual 10-Inch Tabletop Mill (Inch) is an economical and versatile milling machine, ideal for miniature machine shops and precision part manufacturing. This compact mill is designed with a robust 10-inch aluminum base and features precision machined dovetailed slides with adjustable gibs, ensuring smooth and accurate operation. The spindle bearings are permanently lubricated, and the machine is equipped with adjustable preload anti-backlash feed screws on both the X and Y axes, enhancing precision and reducing play during operation.
This tabletop mill is equipped with laser-engraved aluminum handwheels, including two 1-5/8-inch handwheels for the X and Y axes and a 2-1/2-inch handwheel with thrust bearings for the Z axis. These features, typically found in high-end commercial machines, make it suitable for producing high-quality precision parts. Despite its small size, the mill is capable of cutting a variety of materials, including wood, plastic, aluminum, and steel, offering full-size machine precision and accuracy in a desktop-sized package.
The mill is powered by a 90V DC motor with an electronic speed controller, allowing for a wide range of spindle speeds. The machine's table measures 2.75 inches by 13.0 inches and includes two T-slots for secure workpiece mounting. Additional features include oil reservoirs on the X, Y, and Z axes to maintain lubrication of critical components, and a brass leadscrew cover to protect the Y-axis leadscrew from debris. These design elements contribute to the machine's durability and reliability, making it suitable for both hobbyists and professionals seeking a compact yet powerful milling solution.
