The Sherline DRO Box w/ Power Supply (220-240V) is an essential accessory for those operating multiple machines such as mills and lathes with digital readout systems. This product allows users to equip a second machine with its own digital readout box, eliminating the need to transfer and reset the device between machines.
The power supply is designed to accommodate electrical systems in countries with 220-240 volt current, automatically switching from 120V to 240V as needed. Users outside North America may require a wall socket adapter to ensure compatibility with local outlets.
A significant enhancement to this product is the upgraded DRO chip, introduced in August 2021. This chip enables compatibility with both ball screw and standard leadscrew machines, offering versatility in machine operations. Additionally, it incorporates customer-driven improvements, such as the ability to display metric measurements on inch machines and vice versa.
The DRO chip provides six operational modes tailored to different machine types, including mills and lathes, and allows users to select their preferred measurement display, either in inches or metric units.
Note: Ensure the correct RPM tach sticker is used for your machine type, with a 6-pulse sticker for leadscrew machines and a 5-pulse sticker for ball screw machines.
