The Sherline CNC-Ready Mill Upgrade Kit 2000 (") is designed to transform any existing Sherline vertical mill into a CNC-ready machine. This conversion process involves precise modifications, including drilling and tapping several holes to secure the stepper motor mounts. The kit provides drill blocks that facilitate accurate hole placement by attaching to the table or bed using an existing hole, guiding the drilling of two additional holes. These newly drilled holes are then tapped to allow for the installation of the new mounts.

A significant part of the conversion involves the installation of a new leadscrew for the mill column, ensuring the machine's enhanced functionality.
