The Sherline CNC-Ready Lathe Upgrade Kit for 4100/4530, X Axis Motor Mount (") enables the transformation of existing Sherline lathes into CNC-ready machines. This conversion requires the drilling and tapping of several holes to secure the stepper motor mounts. The kit provides drill blocks that are affixed to the lathe's table or bed using an existing hole, facilitating the drilling of two additional holes guided by the block. These holes are then tapped to allow for the installation of the new mount. Additionally, a new leadscrew must be installed for the lathe's leadscrew mechanism. Comprehensive instructions accompany the kit to guide users through the conversion process.
