The Sherline 18-Inch NexGen Benchtop Mill Package A with DRO (Metric) is a sophisticated milling machine designed to deliver exceptional precision and accuracy for advanced milling projects. This benchtop mill is equipped with a digital readout system that enhances its functionality by providing real-time feedback on the movement of the table across three axes. The digital readout box, coupled with special handwheels featuring built-in electronic encoders, allows for precise tracking of table travel, which can be reset to zero at any time with the push of a button. Additionally, the spindle RPM is continuously displayed, ensuring optimal control during operation.
This milling machine is ideal for producing small, precision parts from a variety of materials, including wood, plastic, aluminum, and steel. Despite its compact desktop size, it offers the precision and accuracy typically associated with full-size machines. The machine's design includes an 18-inch mill base with Y-axis leadscrew protection, an extended mill table with T-slots, and an extra-rigid column base, all contributing to its robust performance.
The package includes a powerful 90V DC motor with an electronic speed controller, ensuring smooth and adjustable spindle speeds. The mill's construction and components, such as the tooling plate and extended column bed, are engineered to provide a larger work area and enhanced rigidity. The digital readout system, with its LCD display and RPM sensor, further simplifies the machining process by eliminating the need to manually track handwheel revolutions, thereby reducing potential errors.
The Sherline 18-Inch NexGen Benchtop Mill Package A with DRO (Metric) is a testament to quality craftsmanship, made in the USA, and is supported by excellent customer service. It is a versatile tool that brings a new level of enjoyment and efficiency to machining tasks, making it a valuable addition to any workshop.
