The CNC-ready 12-inch XYZ base is a key component of this milling machine, identical to the base used in the 5400-series mill. It is equipped with stepper motor mounts on the X, Y, and Z axes, facilitating the installation of stepper motors for enhanced automation and precision. The base and table are laser engraved, ensuring accuracy in operations. The travel dimensions for the axes are X=8.65 inches (220 mm), Y=5.0 inches (127 mm), and Z=6.25 inches (159 mm), providing ample range for various milling tasks.
This model is compatible with dual shaft stepper motors, which allow for both manual and CNC control. The inclusion of three low mass 1-5/8 inch handwheels enables manual operation when dual shaft stepper motors are installed, offering flexibility in control methods.
