The Sherline 12-Inch Deluxe Tabletop Mill XY Base CNC Ready (Metric) is a sophisticated milling base designed for precision and versatility. This model is part of the 5400-series and is engineered to accommodate CNC applications, featuring pre-installed mounts for stepper motors on both the X and Y axes. This allows for seamless integration of stepper motors, enhancing the automation capabilities of the milling process. Additionally, the inclusion of handwheels ensures that manual control can be maintained when necessary, providing flexibility in operation. The handwheels are equipped with laser-engraved aluminum collars, which allow for precise adjustments and easy readability. The mill base and table are also marked with laser-engraved scales, further aiding in accuracy and precision during milling tasks. An oil reservoir is integrated into the X/Y axes, ensuring smooth operation and reducing wear over time. The travel capacity of the mill is substantial, with the X-axis offering a range of 8.65 inches (220 mm) and the Y-axis providing 5.0 inches (127 mm) of movement. This range allows for a wide variety of milling applications, making it suitable for both intricate and larger scale projects.
