The Sherline 12-Inch Deluxe Tabletop Mill with DRO (Inch) is a precision milling machine designed for both professional and hobbyist applications. It features a digital readout system that enhances accuracy and ease of use, making it ideal for creating small, precision parts. The mill is equipped with a digital readout box and special handwheels with built-in electronic encoders, which replace standard handwheels. These handwheels are connected to the electronic readout box, translating handwheel movement into a display of table travel across three axes. Users can reset the readout for any axis to zero at any time with the push of a button, and the spindle RPM is constantly displayed when the motor is running. The readout system is adaptable to both inch and metric measurements, providing versatility for various projects.
This tabletop mill is capable of cutting a range of materials, including wood, plastic, aluminum, and steel, thanks to its robust construction and precision capabilities. Despite its compact desktop size, it offers the precision and accuracy of a full-size machine. The mill also comes with a headstock spacer block, a ¼-inch drill chuck with a key, and a #1 Morse arbor with a drawbolt. Oil reservoirs on the X, Y, and Z axes ensure critical parts remain lubricated, and a brass leadscrew cover protects the Y-axis leadscrew from debris.
