The Sherline 12-Inch Deluxe Tabletop Mill Package A with DRO (Inch) is a sophisticated milling machine designed to enhance precision and versatility in machining tasks. This package is equipped with a digital readout system that provides accurate measurements of table travel across three axes, ensuring meticulous control over milling operations. The digital readout box, featuring an LCD display, is complemented by special handwheels with built-in electronic encoders, allowing users to reset the readout to zero at any point, thereby facilitating precise adjustments and measurements.
This tabletop mill is particularly suitable for crafting small, precision parts, and is capable of handling materials such as wood, plastic, aluminum, and steel with high accuracy. Despite its compact desktop size, it offers the precision and capabilities of a full-sized machine, making it an ideal choice for those requiring detailed and accurate machining in a limited space.
The digital readout system enhances the user experience by displaying the position of each axis relative to a user-defined zero point, with the inch version offering precision to three and a half decimal places. The system also allows for the electronic elimination of backlash, ensuring smooth and error-free operation. This feature significantly reduces the manual effort involved in tracking handwheel revolutions, thereby minimizing potential errors.
Included in the package are essential accessories such as a powerful 90V DC motor with an electronic speed controller, a 12-inch base, and a 2.75-inch by 13.0-inch table with two T-slots. The package also comprises a step block hold-down set, a milling vise, and a variety of cutting tools and holders, including a fly cutter with a carbide bit and a 3-piece mill collet set. Additionally, the package includes a Sherline Accessories Shop Guide book, providing valuable insights and guidance for users.
Note: Ensure proper handling and operation of the machine to avoid injury or damage.
