The ServoCity Heavy-Duty Linear Servo (Position Control, 12-24V, 225lb Thrust, 0.3"/sec, 6" Stroke) is a sophisticated device designed to respond to PWM signals, offering a seamless integration with various servo controllers without the need for additional tuning or wiring. This linear servo is equipped with an advanced internal circuit board capable of accepting PWM signals from nearly any servo controller, including wired options like the Dual Servo Driver or Servo Recorder, wireless transmitters and receivers, or microcontrollers such as Arduino. The closed-loop feedback system allows precise control over the position of the extension tube, ensuring accurate movement within its stroke range by continuously monitoring the position through an internal potentiometer. The device requires a 12V input with a minimum of 5A to power the linear servo via a male XT30 connector, which also supplies 5V to the servo controller, enabling both components to operate from a single power source. Constructed with metal for enhanced durability and reliability, the linear servo can replace pneumatic and hydraulic systems, providing efficient linear thrust through its ACME screw mechanism. It is capable of handling significant static loads without being back-driven, even when power is removed. The servo can function in any orientation, delivering equal force in both pulling and pushing directions. The mounting clevis near the motor is fixed, while the one on the extension tube can be rotated to accommodate different application requirements. Note: Ensure proper power supply and connection to avoid operational hazards.
