The ServoCity Heavy-Duty Linear Servo (Position Control, 12-24V, 112lb Thrust, 0.6"/sec, 2" Stroke) is a sophisticated device designed to respond to PWM signals, offering a seamless integration with various servo controllers without the need for additional tuning or wiring. This linear servo is equipped with an advanced internal circuit board capable of accepting PWM signals from a wide range of controllers, including wired and wireless systems, as well as microcontrollers like Arduino. The closed-loop feedback mechanism allows precise control over the position of the extension tube, ensuring accurate movement within its stroke range. The device is powered through a male XT30 connector, which requires a 12V input with a minimum of 5A, and it efficiently shares power with the servo controller via a twisted lead. Constructed with metal for enhanced durability, the linear servo can replace pneumatic and hydraulic systems, providing robust linear thrust through its ACME screw mechanism. It is capable of handling significant static loads without back-driving, even when power is removed.
