Up to 10-year battery life
The SenseCAP S2108 Soil Moisture, Temperature & Pore EC Wireless Sensor is a sophisticated device designed for monitoring soil conditions. This sensor is capable of measuring soil moisture, temperature, and pore electrical conductivity (EC) within specific ranges. The soil moisture is measured from 0 to 100% volumetric water content, temperature from -40 to 80 degrees Celsius, and EC from 0 to 20 millisiemens per centimeter for bulk soil and up to 32 millisiemens per centimeter for pore water content. The soil EC is an important indicator of soil health, as it influences crop yield, nutrient availability, and the activity of soil microbes.
Equipped with built-in Bluetooth, the sensor allows for over-the-air (OTA) configuration and remote device management through a dedicated application. This feature simplifies the setup process and facilitates timely updates. The sensor is ideal for use in various applications such as smart farming, smart yards, and environmental monitoring, providing valuable data for optimizing growing conditions and ensuring plant health.
The devices design incorporates LoRa technology and an IP66 rating, ensuring stable and reliable performance with extended transmission range and low power consumption. The wireless nature of the sensor, powered by batteries, offers ease of installation and flexibility in deployment, allowing for quick assembly and disassembly without the need for complex wiring.
Please note that the SenseCAP S2108 Soil Moisture, Temperature & EC Wireless Sensor should not be exposed to conditions outside its specified measurement ranges to prevent damage and ensure accurate readings.
