The Seeedstudio Grove Single-Point Infrared Thermometer - MLX90614 DCI w/ 5° FOV is a module that comes with a single-point, medical-grade infrared temperature sensor, known as MLX90614. This sensor is capable of detecting the temperature of objects with a high degree of accuracy. Within the body temperature range, it can be measured with an accuracy of ±0.2 °C. When measuring the surface temperature of objects at room temperature, it can achieve an accuracy of ±0.5 °C across a broad range.

The module employs the I2C protocol to gather data from the camera. The sensor's field of view (FOV) is 5°, allowing for precise measurements. The temperature measurement range of this sensor spans from -70 to 380 °C, and it operates effectively when the sensor's Ta value lies between -40° and 85°.

This module is designed with a narrow field-of-view (5°) to ensure accurate measurements. It also features an I2C Grove interface, which facilitates easy communication with a microcontroller unit (MCU).
