The Seeedstudio Grove 4 Channel 16-Bit ADC (ADS1115) w/ Programmable Amplifier Gain is a high-resolution, low-power ADC chip that boasts 4 channels and 16-bit precision. It is equipped with a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) function, which enables it to measure input voltages ranging from ±256 mV to ±6.144 V, thereby significantly broadening its range of applications.

The ADS1115 operates within a wide supply range of 2 to 5.5 V and is compatible with both 3 and 5 V systems. It also features a programmable data rate that can be adjusted from 8 SPS to 860 SPS. The built-in PGA is adjustable and can be controlled via software, allowing for 4 single-ended inputs or 2 differential inputs.

The ADS1115 is equipped with an input multiplexer (MUX) that facilitates two-channel differential-input measurements or four-channel single-ended input measurements. It offers a continuous measurement mode and a single measurement mode, the latter of which has an extremely low standby power consumption, making it an excellent choice for IoT applications. The module employs I2C communication and offers four optional I2C addresses, which allows for multi-chip cascading in more complex scenarios.

It operates at an input voltage of 3.3V / 5V, has an ADC resolution of 16 Bit, and uses an I2C interface. The default address is 0x48, but optional I2C addresses of 0x48 / 0x49 / 0x4A / 0x4B are also available. The package includes a Grove - 4-Channel 16 Bit ADC (ADS1115) and a 20mm Grove Cable.
