The RoboClaw 2x30A, 6-34VDC Regenerative Motor Controller is an extremely efficient, versatile, dual channel synchronous regenerative motor controller. It can supply two brushed DC motors with 30 Amps continuous and 60 Amps peak. The RoboClaw also includes a 3 Amp switch mode BEC. RoboClaw supports multiple sensor inputs including dual quadrature encoders with up to 19.6 million pulses per second, potentiometers and absolute encoders. With dual quadrature decoding you get greater control over speed, velocity and direction. Automatically maintain speed and direction even if the load changes. With the ability to use potentiometers you can easily create giant servo systems and control them from any of RoboClaw's interface modes.

MOTEUR D'ENTRAÎNEMENT RoboClaw 2X30A DC J'ai utilisé à la fois les entraînements CC à double canal Sabertooth et RoboClaw pour les tondeuses de pente télécommandées à grande échelle (150 kg). Le Roboclaw est beaucoup plus convivial car il est programmable via le logiciel micromotion et prend en charge des fonctionnalités plus avancées telles que : 1) Retour codeur 2) Accél. moteur individuel. décélérer. rampes 3) Via de coupure régénérative externe. une charge externe, par ex. résistance de rupture et/ou un condensateur - essentiel pour contrôler les baisses de tension spécifiquement sur les robots à charge utile plus importante et dans mon cas, les pentes. 4) Estop à distance essentiel pour tous les robots RC à grande échelle. Roboclaw a la sensation d'un moteur industriel plus cher et prend en charge de nombreuses autres fonctionnalités programmables que je n'ai encore utilisées dans aucun de mes projets. RoboClaw 2X30A DC MOTOR DRIVE - Largescale remote controlled slope mower - 32" cut

RoboClaw 2X30A DC MOTOR DRIVE I have used both the Sabertooth and the RoboClaw dual channel DC drives for largescale remote controlled slope mowers (150kgs). The Roboclaw is far more user friendly in that it is programmable via the micromotion software and supports more advanced features such as: 1) Encoder feedback 2) Individual motor accel. decel. ramps 3) External regenerative breaking via. an external load eg. breaking resistor and or a capacitor - critical for controlling brownouts specifically on larger payload robots and in my case slopes. 4) Remote estop essential for any largescale RC robots. Roboclaw has the feel of a more expensive industrial motor drive and support many other programmable features of which I haven't yet used in any of my projects. It powers/drives the 6wd mantis very well.

A few setup quirks stalled my setup. The lipo and mode switchs were reversed screened on the circuit board. Ie mode switch button was lipo switch button...no worries...after moving forward, the setup was straight forward. Using a 7.2 vdc nmhi produced a start up red error indication on the unit. Not using lipo yet so I disabled the battery monitor and have no further problems. I believe the unit is shipped in Auto mode for the battery monitor. The unit is currently (pun) powering a 6wd mantis kit. I have had the mantis actually climb two steps and enter my house. Differential drive in rc mode is my current use. Good solid product.
