The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 Dev Kit w/ Waveshare PoE Board (w/ 7" Touchscreen) is a comprehensive development kit designed for advanced computing and video-oriented projects. It includes the Compute Module 4 Development Kit C/D and the Waveshare Compute Module 4 PoE Board, which supports Power over Ethernet applications. This kit is ideal for evaluating the Raspberry Pi CM4 or integrating it into end products, offering a robust platform for developers and engineers.

The PoE board is equipped with a CM4 socket compatible with all variants of the Compute Module 4, providing a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 connector with an integrated 802.3af-compliant PoE circuit. It features a Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO header, multiple USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, dual MIPI DSI display ports, and dual MIPI CSI-2 camera ports. Additionally, it includes dual HDMI ports capable of 4K 30fps output, a real-time clock with a battery socket, and a MicroSD card socket for Compute Module 4 Lite variants.

The development kit also offers a fan header for speed adjustment and measurement, supporting power input ranging from 7V to 36V. The Compute Module 4 itself is powered by an upgraded BCM2711 processor, a quad-core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit SoC, providing enhanced performance with more RAM options and faster eMMC Flash storage. It also includes an option for a fully certified radio module and an onboard Gigabit Ethernet PHY with a PCIe Gen 2 x1 interface.

This kit is complemented by a variety of peripheral connectors, including CSI, DSI, RTC, HDMI, USB, Ethernet, and TF card slots, along with dual LED indicators for power and operating status. The optional 7" IPS capacitive touch display enhances the user interface, making it suitable for interactive applications.
