The Pololu 50:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor MP 6V w/ Extended Motor Shaft is a compact brushed DC motor featuring a robust metal gearbox with a cross section of 10×12 mm. It is designed for medium-power applications at 6V, utilizing precious metal brushes to ensure efficient performance. The motor incorporates a gear ratio of 51.45:1, facilitated by durable brass plates, which enhances its torque capabilities.
This gearmotor is equipped with an extended motor shaft, making it compatible with encoders for precise control and feedback. It delivers a no-load speed of 420 RPM while drawing 70 mA, and it can achieve a stall torque of 0.54 kg⋅cm (7.5 oz⋅in) with a stall current of 0.67 A. The output shaft is designed to fit a variety of Pololu wheels and the Solarbotics RW2i rubber wheel, providing versatility in application.
Additionally, the motor can be paired with Pololu universal mounting hubs and a 12mm hex wheel adapter, and it is compatible with several mounting brackets and motor controllers, including the MP6550 motor driver and Motoron chainable serial motor controllers.
