The Pololu 47:1 Metal Gearmotor 25Dx52L mm MP 12V is a medium-power, brushed DC motor integrated with a 46.85:1 metal spur gearbox. This cylindrical gearmotor features a diameter slightly under 25 mm, with a D-shaped output shaft measuring 4 mm in diameter and extending 12.5 mm from the gearbox's face plate. The design allows for easy interchangeability among various gear ratios and motor power levels, all maintaining the same 25 mm diameter case and 4 mm output shaft. This flexibility facilitates adaptation to changing design requirements, although the gearbox length may vary with different gear ratios.
The gearmotor is compatible with Pololu multi-hub wheels and can also be adapted to fit common scooter, skateboard, and inline skate wheels using a 4 mm scooter wheel adapter. It is notably utilized in the Wild Thumper all-terrain chassis, where the gearbox's output shaft is directly compatible with the hex adapters for the 120 mm-diameter Wild Thumper wheels.
