The Pololu 4.4:1 Metal Gearmotor 25Dx48L mm LP 6V is a compact and efficient solution for various mechanical applications. This gearmotor integrates a low-power, 6 V brushed DC motor with a 4:1 metal spur gearbox, housed in a cylindrical casing with a diameter of just under 25 mm. The D-shaped output shaft, measuring 4 mm in diameter, extends 12.5 mm from the gearbox face plate, facilitating easy integration with compatible components.
This gearmotor is designed to be versatile, with the option to include an integrated 48 CPR quadrature encoder for enhanced control. The face plate features two mounting holes threaded for M3 screws, allowing for secure attachment using a custom-designed 25D mm metal gearmotor bracket. The output shaft is compatible with Pololu multi-hub wheels and can be adapted for use with larger wheels or custom mechanisms using the Pololu universal aluminum mounting hub or a 4mm scooter wheel adapter.
The gearmotor is suitable for use with a variety of motor drivers and controllers, including TB9051FTG-based drivers for LP and MP versions, and VNH5019-based drivers for HP versions. For advanced control interfaces, options such as Simple Motor Controllers, Jrk motor controllers, or RoboClaw motor controllers are available, catering to different power levels and control requirements. Additionally, Hall effect-based current sensors can be employed for monitoring motor current, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
