The Pololu 30:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HPCB 12V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Back Connector is a compact brushed DC motor equipped with a robust metal gearbox. It features a gearbox cross-section measuring 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft with a diameter of 3 mm and a length of 9 mm. This gearmotor is designed to deliver efficient performance with a no-load speed of 1100 RPM and a current draw of 80 mA at 12 volts.
Integrated within the motor is a two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder, which detects the rotation of a magnetic disk located on the rear extension of the motor shaft. This encoder provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution (CPR) of the motor shaft, which can be adjusted by multiplying with the gearbox reduction factor to determine the CPR of the gearbox output shaft. The encoder is equipped with a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards.
The gearmotor is available with a back connector orientation, aligning parallel to the motor, facilitating streamlined integration into various applications. This configuration is particularly suitable for projects requiring precise motor control and feedback. Note: A cable is not included with this gearmotor.
