The Pololu 250:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor HP 6V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Side Connector is a compact and efficient brushed DC motor designed for precise control applications. It features a robust metal gearbox with a cross section of 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft measuring 9 mm in length and 3 mm in diameter. This gearmotor is equipped with an integrated two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder, which detects the rotation of a magnetic disk attached to the motor shaft's rear protrusion.
The encoder provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution (CPR) by counting both edges of both channels, allowing for accurate monitoring of the motor's position and speed. The encoder is connected via a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards. The side connector orientation is perpendicular to the motor, facilitating versatile integration into various mechanical systems.
