The Pololu 15:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor MP 6V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Side Connector is a compact and efficient brushed DC motor designed for precision applications. It features a robust metal gearbox with a cross section of 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft measuring 9 mm in length and 3 mm in diameter. This motor operates at a medium power level of 6V and is equipped with precious metal brushes, ensuring reliable performance and longevity.
The gearmotor incorporates a 15.25:1 gear ratio with durable brass plates, providing a balance between speed and torque. An integrated 12 CPR incremental quadrature encoder is included, which utilizes a side connector for easy integration. This encoder detects the rotation of a magnetic disk attached to the rear of the motor shaft, delivering a resolution of 12 counts per revolution, which is ideal for applications requiring precise control and feedback.
