The Pololu 10:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor LP 6V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Side Connector is a compact brushed DC motor equipped with a metal gearbox. It features a gearbox cross section measuring 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft with a diameter of 3 mm and a length of 9 mm. This gearmotor is designed to deliver efficient performance with a gear ratio of approximately 9.96:1.
Integrated into the motor is a two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder, which detects the rotation of a magnetic disk located on the rear protrusion of the motor shaft. This encoder provides a resolution of 12 counts per revolution (CPR) by counting both edges of both channels, allowing for precise control and feedback.
The encoder is equipped with a 6-pin JST SH-style male connector, compatible with corresponding cables and connector boards. The side connector orientation is perpendicular to the motor, facilitating versatile integration into various applications.
