The Phidgets Spiral Beam Coupling 4mm - 4mm is designed to connect two 4mm shafts securely. It features a spiral cut design that accommodates up to 2° of angular misalignment and 0.12mm of eccentric misalignment, thereby reducing wear on the system. Installation is facilitated by two set screws per shaft, ensuring a firm hold. For enhanced security, a groove can be filed into the shaft, or Loctite can be applied to the set screws to prevent slipping. Note: New stock requires a 2mm hex key for the M4 set screws.
