Ensures robust connectivity for robots in complex environments
Supports up to 16 devices with precise synchronization
Retains USB Type-C with added GMSL2 and FAKRA support
Pre-integrated with NVIDIA Jetson platforms
The Orbbec Gemini 335Lg Stereo Vision 3D Camera is a distinguished model within the Gemini 330 series, specifically designed as the GMSL2/FAKRA variant of the well-regarded Gemini 335L. It integrates a GMSL2 serializer with a FAKRA connector to ensure robust and reliable connectivity, particularly beneficial for autonomous mobile robots and robotic arms operating in complex environments. This configuration facilitates stable and smooth data transmission with higher bandwidth compared to USB interfaces, making it ideal for high-speed movement and long-distance connections in challenging conditions.
The camera is engineered to endure vibrations and is equipped with IP65 waterproof and dustproof capabilities, ensuring durability in industrial settings. It supports high frame rates and resolutions, with a bandwidth capacity of up to 6 Gbps, surpassing the transmission speeds of mainstream GigE cameras. The Gemini 335Lg allows for the simultaneous connection of up to 16 devices to a host platform, maintaining precise synchronization of depth and RGB streams across all connected devices.
Compatibility with mainstream deserialization chips and an open-source SDK supporting ROS1, ROS2, and NVIDIA Isaac ROS enhances its versatility. The device is pre-integrated with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin NX and AGX Xavier, facilitating streamlined multi-device collaboration and development support. The Gemini 335Lg retains the USB Type-C interface and data streaming capabilities of its predecessor while incorporating GMSL2 and FAKRA support, allowing for seamless application development using existing work from the Gemini 335L.
Note: Both Gemini 335L and 335Lg require IP65-compliant cables during power-on operations to maintain IP65 protection, and should not be operated for more than 16 hours per day.
