The Maduino Zero 4G LTE (CAT1 A7670E) is a CAT-1 4G solution tailored for Internet of Things (IoT) applications that do not necessitate the higher data rates provided by CAT-4 modules. It is equipped with the A7670 CAT-1 module, ensuring a stable 4G connection at a more economical rate, particularly as 2G networks become obsolete. This module is a viable option for IoT remote monitoring and control applications pending the broader implementation of 5G or Starlink technologies.

Featuring the A7600(E/SA) CAT-1 module and built on the ATSAMD21G18A, the Maduino Zero 4G LTE module is compatible with Arduino, offering a familiar environment for Arduino developers. This compatibility facilitates the collection of local data, ranging from simple temperature measurements to multimedia content, and enables swift internet data communication.

Additionally, the module is equipped with a comprehensive set of telephony features, including the capability to make phone calls with an earphone, making it particularly suitable for emergency alarm systems that require prompt notifications, such as those for gas leaks.

For platforms with operating systems, such as PCs or Raspberry Pis, the Maduino Zero 4G LTE can act as a direct 4G node once the necessary drivers are installed. It is pertinent to acknowledge that the module operates at CAT1 speeds, which are slower than those of the CAT-4 SIM7600.

The module is available in two versions, E/SA, and it is imperative for users to choose the version that corresponds to their geographical location. It should be noted that the A7670 is not registered in the USA and does not support the USA network; in such cases, the SIM7600 version is the alternative.

The Maduino Zero 4G LTE module boasts features such as LTE Cat-1 with uplink rates of 5 Mbps and downlink rates of 100 Mbps, GNSS Positioning, compatibility with the Arduino Zero platform and Arduino IDE, dual USB type-C ports for MCU programming/UART and A7670 USB port, and support for various communication protocols. It also includes an SD card socket and an onboard charger with overcharge and over-discharge protection.

Please be aware that the A7670 module is not registered in the USA and does not support the USA network. Users in the USA should opt for the SIM7600 version instead.
