The Litter-Robot 5 Self-Cleaning Litter Box (Black) w/ 3-Year Warranty, made by Whisker, is the next generation of automatic litter boxes, built for households with up to five cats and designed around advanced waste detection, richer pet monitoring, and a more efficient drawer system. After each visit, the globe rotates to sift clumps from clean litter and deposit waste into a sealed drawer below. The proprietary WasteID™ system identifies whether the cat left behind solid waste or urine, then adjusts the cycle timing accordingly — cycling quickly after solid waste to contain odors, and waiting after urine so clumps can form properly before sifting. With a larger interior and expanded weight range compared to previous models, it accommodates cats from small kittens to extra-large breeds like Maine Coons.
The unit connects to the Whisker app over a 2.4 GHz WiFi network, providing real-time notifications, remote cycle control, and per-cat weight tracking through the built-in SmartScale®. WasteID™ also unlocks advanced routine monitoring, giving owners a deeper view of each cat's litter box habits over time. An industry-first sensor system identifies whether your cat left urine or solid waste, then adjusts the cycle timing for targeted odor management. Solid waste triggers a fast cycle to contain smells immediately, while urine cycles wait for proper clump formation.
Automatically sifts waste after every use, leaving a fresh bed of litter with no scooping required. The QuietSift® cycle runs quietly enough that skittish cats won't notice — and neither will you.
Modular construction with easy-to-clean components makes deep cleaning straightforward. The efficiently designed waste drawer distributes waste evenly, reducing how often it needs to be emptied — as infrequently as every 10 days in a one-cat household.

Extends the 12-month manufacturer warranty for another 24 months (for a total of 3 years), provided by RobotShop repair center. The extended warranty covers your Litter-Robot for an additional 24 months on parts and labor after the manufacturer's warranty has ended. The extended warranty excludes shipping fees and accessories, such as batteries, filters, fence, step mat and ramp. This warranty is supplied by the experts of the RobotShop repair center and not the manufacturer.
The ramp and OdorTrap packs are optional accessories that can enhance convenience and odor control. These items are not included with the Litter-Robot 5 and must be purchased separately.
