Tech support suggested replacing the Base which is significantly more $ than replacing the logic board. Which is what I did on my on intuition, and the new logic board fixed the problem. I fully understand troubleshooting via email is a difficult thing to do, and in this case the cheaper solution worked out in my favor.

It’s a good product overall and as such we’ve owned 3 Litter Robots over the last 8 years. If we could suggest an improvement, it would be to design the units more conducive to be modular and assist heavy cleaning.

My first Litter Robot was a 3 Connect. It was problematic from day one. DFI sensors giving false high level, the occasional random over torque fault, and then it was the Hall Effect sensors not detecting the globe at home even though it was clearly in position, which was a huge nuisance as it wouldn’t cycle unless the power was cycled.
I replaced the Hall effect sensors and wiring harness but my unit still had Home Position Fault on every cycle. Decided to install a new board and now there are no more home position faults. I’ve ran it about 10 times manually and by testing the cat sensor. All good. Reconnected it to wifi and the unit is working perfectly. Maybe I had a faulty board all along or I really FUBARed the board with water when I deep cleaned the unit with water the first time . But the new board solved all the problems with my litter robot 3. The board is much easier to change out than the wiring harness. 5 screws, a little finagling, and 3 cables get the board out, then reverse the process to install the new one. Comes with a new (Connect) face plate and serial number sticker.

within 5 months usage this upgrade is totally waste of money. not working properly and always have all lights come out. even the waste level information is not very accurate. in the end go back to its old version. totally not worth it. dissapointed but their customer service is really fantastic and professional.

I needed some parts from Litter Robot 3 and it lookeed like i was directed to Robot shop to fulfill my order and ship to the Philippines.. it was a smooth experience.. both using the website and the well packaged shipment via Japan Post ! My Litter Robot 3 is humming again
